Principal Engineer, Test

Overview

Lead software verification for regulated products, developing test strategies, environments, test benches, automation, and coverage plans while supporting quality delivery in an Agile team.

What you'll do

• Lead verification teams in understanding design specifications and identifying verification scenarios.
• Develop tests, test benches, stimuli, and coverage metrics.
• Coordinate debugging of failing test cases with design engineers.
• Drive test execution, quality, delivery, and risk-mitigation improvements.
• Guide verification approaches and review and execute verification test cases.
• Coordinate verification activities during the software development lifecycle.
• Compile verification test summary reports for formal verification completion.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, software engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of practical software quality assurance experience.
• Experience with functional, non-functional, reliability, and performance verification strategies.
• Experience redefining test architecture and test automation frameworks.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development and regulated software development.
• Ability to technically lead small to medium-sized teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ClearQuest and Teamcenter.
• Experience with Selenium test automation.
• Medical device software development knowledge, including IEC 62304 and ISO 14971.
