Principal Engineer, Test Equipment

Overview

As a Test Equipment Engineer, you will sustain and improve testing equipment for sputtered disk manufacturing, ensuring stable performance, accuracy, and quality compliance.

What you'll do

• Sustain and optimize testing equipment used for sputtered disks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve test cell equipment issues to maintain throughput and product quality.
• Plan and expand test capacity; monitor KPIVs related to test capacity and PPH.
• Install, set up, and implement new test equipment and enhancements for hardware/software.
• Drive test-related projects into production and investigate quality incidents for root cause analysis.
• Improve measurement accuracy and repeatability; analyze measurement results (KPOV).
• Train team members as an upskilling trainer for test equipment and processes.

What you'll need

• 4-5 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably process, data monitoring/analysis).
• Engineering understanding relevant to the discipline with analytical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working knowledge of Minitab.
• Basic understanding of Visual Basic programming and statistical concepts.
• Capabilities in project planning, execution, and reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication for collaboration.
• Engineering education: Advanced/Higher/Graduate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields (preferable).
