Principal Platform Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Principal Platform Infrastructure Engineer for GovTech’s Operations Engineering Practice (OEP), a senior technical leader responsible for scaling an operations engineering practice area and improving reliability, resilience, and operational excellence of digital services.

What you'll do

• Define and maintain the vision, strategy, and roadmap for an assigned operations engineering practice area.
• Establish organizational standards, policies, frameworks, and reference architectures.
• Serve as the subject matter expert and provide technical guidance on complex operational and reliability challenges.
• Lead technical evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-concepts.
• Design and deliver capability-building initiatives across engineering teams (training, workshops, communities of practice).
• Partner with engineering teams to drive adoption of standards and best practices and measure effectiveness.

What you'll need

• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or related disciplines.
• Deep expertise in at least one operational excellence domain (incident management, observability, automation engineering, resiliency engineering, AIOps, or service reliability engineering).
• Experience designing and operating large-scale production systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, automation, monitoring, and operational practices.
• Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction without formal authority.
• Experience leading organization-wide technical initiatives.
