Principal Systems/Software Engineer

Overview

Lead software systems architecture and development across multiple platforms and organizations. Provide technical leadership on complex product and software initiatives.

What you'll do

• Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems.
• Evaluate technologies, innovations, and outsourced development relationships against technology roadmaps.
• Create plans to integrate and update technologies within software architectures.
• Review designs and project activities for compliance with development standards.
• Provide feedback to improve product quality and reduce failure risk.
• Influence architectural and technical decisions with business leaders and standards groups.
• Mentor less-experienced staff and contribute to cross-functional initiatives.

What you'll need

• Typically 10+ years of experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Experience designing and developing software systems, tools, and languages.
• Experience with overall software architecture for products and solutions.
• Experience integrating software systems across multiple platform types.
• Experience with software testing methodologies, test plans, debugging, and testing tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and English language skills.

Details

• Hybrid role requiring an average of 2 days per week from an HPE office.
