Product Manager, Data Programme

Overview

Product Manager for the Data Programme, responsible for defining product vision and coordinating user needs, technical constraints, and design goals across policy, engineering, and data science.

What you'll do

• Conduct user studies and analyze usage data to understand agency user needs.
• Develop product proposals with designers and lead decisions on product direction.
• Translate product strategy into executable technical plans for business and engineering teams.
• Drive adoption through engagement, expanded features, and sustained usage growth.
• Manage product planning and budgets, including expenditure monitoring and securing funding.
• Explain technical considerations to non-technical audiences and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance by meeting security and performance requirements and adhering to audits.

What you'll need

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Infocomm Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on product management experience, ideally in data, platform, or infrastructure.
• Experience working directly with engineers, designers, and data scientists.
• Practical experience applying data science or machine learning to solve real problems.
• Ability to write code or work in software development and read technical documentation.
• Familiarity with modern software development practices including Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, microservices, and TDD/BDD.
