Overview
Project Engineer responsible for reviewing and approving P&ID-related calculations and technical packages, leading detail engineering activities, and aligning bid and project requirements.
What you'll do
- Read P&ID and interpret heat and mass balance diagrams.
- Review and approve P&IDs, provide markups, and ensure incorporation of proposal engineering requirements.
- Perform sanity checks of P&IDs for pressure, flow, and storage level requirements.
- Review and approve sizing and velocity calculations for fluid applications.
- Review and verify calculations for mechanical equipment and equipment lists including weight calculations.
- Lead project teams and align/monitor project matrices like schedule and budgets.
- Resolve customer comments and handle installation and commissioning comments, including troubleshooting.
What you'll need
- Experience in heat and mass balance diagram understanding and P&ID interpretation.
- Basic understanding of pretreatment, filtration, and post treatment.
- Experience reviewing MOCs, piping specifications, and applicable codes/standards (ASME, ASTM, API, DIN).
- Experience reviewing and approving valve lists with compatible material constructs.
- Experience reviewing electrical load lists and electrical load calculations.
- Engineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical, or a Master’s in Mechanical/Chemical.
