Overview
Project Lead Engineer for PCS Modernization in ABB’s Process Automation business (Energy Industries). Leads engineering work with low to medium complexity design authority and oversees delivery of technical specifications and project engineering deliverables.
What you'll do
- Prepare technical specifications aligned with project specifications.
- Prepare or approve engineering deliverables such as SLD, GA, and FDS.
- Perform technical reviews before submission to ensure deliverables meet customer technical specifications.
- Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
- Handle testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Assist in proposals/presentations by providing bills of materials and estimated engineering hours.
- Create work plans and cost estimations, ensuring quality deliverables are on time and within targeted cost.
What you'll need
- B. Tech / B.E with first class in Instrumentation/Electronics/Electrical engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in process or safety systems (application engineering, HMI engineering, 3rd party communication, FAT and SAT) for process automation.
- Good knowledge of process or ICSS and safety systems (fire & gas protection or emergency shutdown systems).
- Hands-on brownfield scope experience for DCS modifications, retrofits, upgrades, service, and commissioning.
- Experience producing pre-to-detailed engineering documents and system testing (FAT & IFAT).
- Experience with virtualization concepts including ESXi setup, RAID configuration, and VMware configuration.
