Overview

Lead the planning, design, engineering, execution, qualification and commissioning of medium to large-scale pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing projects across India and the UK, serving as Project Lead for strategic capital projects.

What you'll do

• Lead the planning, design, engineering, execution, qualification and commissioning of medium to large-scale pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing projects across India and the UK.
• Provide subject matter expertise in HVAC systems and pharmaceutical formulation OSD process equipment.
• Ensure adherence to global regulatory requirements, cGMP standards and engineering best practices.
• Deliver complex projects safely, on time, within budget and in compliance with quality standards.
• Manage stakeholders across site leadership, manufacturing operations, quality assurance and validation, engineering and maintenance, procurement and supply chain, automation and digitalization, and corporate and global leadership teams.
• Manage external stakeholders including engineering and design consultants, equipment manufacturers, vendors and contractors.
• Develop and engage engineering teams.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Mechanical or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience in the pharma industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
• Pharmaceutical facility design and engineering.
• HVAC systems for controlled environments.
• OSD manufacturing equipment.
• Project management and capital project execution.
• Qualification and validation.
• Regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
• Strategic thinking and execution.
• Stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Problem solving and decision making.
• Team development and coaching.
• Strong understanding of cGMP, US FDA regulations, EU GMP Annex 1, WHO GMP, ISO 14644, ASHRAE standards, ISPE Baseline Guides, Good Engineering Practices (GEP) and applicable Indian Standards (IS).
