Quantitative Developer Intern

Overview

Quantitative Developer Intern (Winter 2027) for building and enhancing low-latency Java components within an equities trading platform.

What you'll do

• Build and enhance low-latency Java messaging handlers and market data parsers.
• Design and implement features for trade execution workflows and production trading logic.
• Optimize high-throughput ETL pipelines, caches, and SQL databases for real-time market data processing.
• Write unit and integration tests and automate testing for correctness under live market conditions.
• Improve production tooling and infrastructure including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Take projects from design to deployment while working independently and with the team.

What you'll need

• Undergraduate or higher degree in computer science, machine learning, or another quantitative discipline, or current related enrollment.
• Strong production-level programming experience in Java with object-oriented design.
• Experience with containerization/orchestration, particularly Docker.
• Experience working in Unix environments and proficiency with shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Git and experience with CI/CD tools and the SDLC.
• Availability to work fulltime onsite in New York from January to April 2027.
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards.
