Overview

Referendar (m/w/d) for support in the Legal Department at the corporate headquarters in Hannover. The role covers practical work across legal fields, especially contract and commercial law.

What you'll do

• Handle practical requests from global specialist departments in German and English.
• Independently review and assess factual and legal questions and develop solution approaches.
• Conduct research to prepare legal opinions.
• Assist in preparing and negotiating contracts of all kinds.
• Contribute to international projects.
• Participate in client consultation meetings and contract negotiations.

What you'll need

• Completed first legal state examination (erstes juristisches Staatsexamen).
• Interest focus in civil or commercial law (Zivil- bzw. Wirtschaftsrecht).
• Understanding of economic matters and analytical thinking.
• Confident use of MS Office programs, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Fluent German and English skills in speech and writing.
• Team and communication skills.
• High willingness to work, initiative, and sense of responsibility.

Details

• 3 to 4 month referendar position to support the Legal Department.
• Hiring planned starting later in 2027 and also with a short-term opening for the period starting 01.11.2026.
• Location: Hannover (corporate headquarters near Hannover Hauptbahnhof).
