Overview
Release Train Engineer (RTE) leads and coordinates the Agile Release Train (ART) to synchronize business and technology delivery across Program Increments.
What you'll do
- Facilitate and coordinate quarterly synchronization between business and technology in assigned programs.
- Lead PI Planning facilitation steps including pre-PI refinement, the 2-day PI Planning event, Confidence Vote, and ROAM exercise.
- Own the ART operating rhythm across cross-team ceremonies during the increment (Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, ART Sync, System Demo).
- Facilitate Inspect & Adapt at PI close and drive the resulting improvement backlog into the next PI.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and impediments, escalating as needed.
- Track and report Predictability, Flow, and Business Value metrics and run interim manual reporting when dashboards are not available.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 active SAFe/Agile certifications, with SAFe RTE preferred.
- 5+ years leading software delivery programs.
- 2+ years coordinating multiple teams at the program level.
- Minimum 3 PI Planning events facilitated or co-facilitated.
- Working knowledge of SAFe 6.0 (ART, Program Increment, PI Planning), Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
