Overview
SAP S/4HANA ABAP backend development role focused on building, enhancing, and optimizing applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and Fiori frameworks.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, document, and support S/4HANA ABAP and ABAP Cloud application solutions.
- Develop using clean core extensibility models for key-user, developer, and side-by-side extensibility.
- Contribute to migration of multiple ECC systems into one unified S/4HANA system.
- Participate in establishing enterprise-wide standards for application development and integration.
- Assess and optimize performance of new and existing programs.
- Work across the full software development lifecycle, including documentation and project artifacts.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years prior relevant experience (or 3 years with an advanced degree, or 9 years without a degree).
- Experience in SAP ABAP development and SAP projects.
- Knowledge of clean core extension concepts including in-app, developer, and side-by-side extensibility.
- Skills with ABAP 7.5 (Clean ABAP and Modern ABAP).
- Experience with ABAP Objects and object-oriented development.
- Background with RAP, including RESTful ABAP programs, queries, and managed/unmanaged BOs.
Nice to have
- Experience upgrading SAP ECC to S/4HANA with UI5 and Fiori/Fiori Elements.
- Experience with BTP platform & Cloud Foundry and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Understanding of clean core concepts and techniques.

- Role type is remote and requires working from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).
- U.S. citizenship is required for access authorization under the program/contract.
