Senior Frontend Engineer (React.js / TypeScript)

Overview

Senior Frontend Engineer role in Applications Development, participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.

What you'll do

• Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, applications development and model development to meet specific business needs or user areas.
• Monitor and control all phases of the development process, including analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation, and provide user and operational support to business users.
• Utilize in-depth specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems/issues, evaluate business and system processes and industry standards, and make evaluative judgement.
• Recommend and develop security measures in post implementation analysis of business usage to ensure successful system design and functionality.
• Consult with users/clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and assist customer exposure systems.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes.
• Serve as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts.
• Act as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
• Develop scalable, modular frontend applications using React.js and TypeScript.
• Implement client-side security standards, state management solutions, and reusable component libraries.
• Write robust automated tests (Unit, Integration, E2E) using Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright/Cypress.
• Optimize web applications for maximum speed, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser responsiveness.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in frontend web development.
• Deep proficiency in React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, build tooling (Vite/Webpack), and REST/GraphQL API integration.
• Demonstrated experience in writing clean, well-tested code and applying frontend security best practices.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills in an Agile environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
