Senior ISC Data Scientist

Overview

Senior ISC Data Scientist role at BD (Becton Dickinson) focused on framing business problems into analytical and machine learning use cases and deploying models to production.

What you'll do

• Frame business problems into analytical and machine learning use cases.
• Engineer features and develop predictive and prescriptive models.
• Train, evaluate, validate, and deploy models for production use.
• Monitor model performance, drift, and retraining needs.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and MLOps to ensure scalable deployments.
• Automate ML workflows (CI/CD) and manage Mlflow registry.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, ethical AI, and responsible AI standards.
• Communicate insights, assumptions, and outcomes to business stakeholders.
• Partner with Data Engineers, Data/AI Product Owners, Business Product Owners and Legal/Compliance Teams.

What you'll need

• Experience required: 4-9 years.
• Strong academic or professional background in data science, statistics, or applied mathematics.
• Proven experience building and deploying ML models in production environments.
• Experience and knowledge of ERP, SAP systems and APS.
• Experience working in cross-functional, product-oriented teams.
• Statistics, machine learning, and optimization techniques.
• Python, SQL, and distributed data processing.
• Feature engineering and model lifecycle management.
• Model monitoring, drift detection, and retraining.
• MLOps and CI/CD for analytics solutions.
• Responsible and ethical AI practices.

Nice to have

• Master's Degree with at least 3 years of work experience.
• Recommended certifications: Databricks Machine Learning Professional; Databricks ML Practitioner; Azure Data Scientist (DP-100); TensorFlow Developer; Responsible AI (Microsoft/edX).
