Overview
Senior Layout Designer role focused on implementing high-quality IC layouts, including critical analog and mixed-signal blocks.
What you'll do
- Implement layouts by understanding and applying design constraints.
- Oversee the layout process, including floor-planning, placement, and routing.
- Deliver mid-size blocks covering signal and floorplan in core/pitch and periphery areas.
- Execute secondary layout tasks such as ECO, LCO, and DFM.
- Coordinate with TD, Design, CAD, and layout teams to meet schedule and quality goals.
- Apply multiple layout techniques for design and verification of array, digital, and analog circuits.
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience in layout.
- Proficiency using Cadence VXL on periphery blocks.
- Strong debug and problem-solving skills for LVS, DRC, and layout issues.
- Hands-on experience creating layouts for critical blocks such as Temperature sensor, PLL, ADC, DAC, LDO, Bandgap, Ref Generators, Charge Pump, Current Mirrors, Comparator, and Differential Amplifier.
- Understanding of analog layout fundamentals including matching, electro-migration, latch-up, coupling, crosstalk, and IR-drop.
- Understanding of layout effects on speed, capacitance, power, and area.
- Knowledge of design rules to deliver with quality layout.
