Overview

Senior Machine Learning Engineer to build and deploy ML models for ad content understanding in Roku’s ad serving platform.

What you'll do

• Develop and optimize machine-learning models to solve business problems related to ads.
• Run regular A/B experiments, gather data, and perform statistical analysis.
• Work with software and ML engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions into production.
• Improve scalability, efficiency, and automation of ML-driven ad serving systems.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to plan and drive the ML strategy for ad serving.
• Build computer vision and ML models using visual, audio, and textual ad content across languages.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of building models for business applications.
• Master’s degree (or higher).
• 4+ years of CS, CE, ML, or related field experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals with ability to write algorithms.
• Experience implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly for computer vision.
• Knowledge of ML fundamentals including regression, classification, tree-based methods, neural networks, sequence/NLP approaches (e.g., W2V or BERT).
• Programming experience with C/C++, Python, Java, or Perl (preferred).

Nice to have

• Publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• AI growth mindset / AI literacy.

Details

• The Ad Serving team is based in Bangalore.
• Work model: generally in-office Monday–Thursday, with Fridays flexible for remote work unless five-days attendance is required by role or location.
