Senior Network Engineer-2

Overview

Experienced Senior Network Engineer role supporting system-wide complex components/projects for a global IP backbone network.

What you'll do

• Contribute as a key contributor to project success.
• Solve highly technical, complex problems.
• Consult and guide other projects as needed.
• Engineer, deploy, and support the TNS global IP backbone network.
• Design and support Ethernet-based services, including Metro Ethernet Forum routing protocol design.
• Design and support WAN/LAN topology, BGP/ISIS/EIGRP/OSPF/PIM, MPLS, and data center-related components.
• Identify network issues and recommend resolution actions.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of design and operations experience in large scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks.
• 5+ years expert knowledge in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, Fast Reroute).
• 3+ years architecture and provisioning experience for MPLS networks/services (Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2/L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPsec, IP Multicast, QoS/COS).
• 5+ years experience in layer-2 Ethernet technologies.
• 3+ years working knowledge of data center design and operation.
• 5+ years hands-on configuration/debugging/problem resolution on complex Cisco and/or Juniper networks.
• Experience using command-line interfaces and monitoring/analysis tools (SolarWinds, Splunk, similar).
