Senior Principal Engineer

Overview

Senior Principal Engineer leading architecture strategy and technical execution across AlphaSense’s 80+ engineer Application Portfolio spanning Web, Mobile, and Headless surfaces.

What you'll do

• Define and drive the technical strategy for the Applications Portfolio.
• Establish frontend architecture standards for Web, Mobile, and Headless.
• Mentor and coach senior engineering talent to improve technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product leadership to align roadmaps with customer needs.
• Modernize application architecture from a feature-factory model to a platform-driven system.
• Partner with Design Systems teams on shared UI components and design tokens.
• Perform technical governance through reviews and prototyping to reduce technical risks.

What you'll need

• 15+ years experience as a senior/principal-level software engineer.
• Deep expertise in frontend architecture and large-scale application systems.
• Experience leading technology transformation across 80+ engineers.
• Deep understanding of modern API design including REST and GraphQL.
• Experience with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar agent-integration patterns.
• Demonstrated ability to balance architecture strategy with hands-on coding.
