Senior QA Engineer

Overview

Senior Software Engineer in Test to drive end-to-end test automation for CRM, Contact Center, AI and Service Operations initiatives across multiple regions within a SAFe environment.

What you'll do

• Contribute to, maintain and enhance the test automation framework, adding new capabilities and improving maintainability, scalability, modularity and cross-platform compatibility.
• Design, develop and maintain robust, reusable test automation scripts across UI, API, database and potentially mobile or desktop application layers.
• Implement and maintain utilities and test libraries, and support developers with unit tests when required.
• Collaborate with QA leads and developers to define what to automate, when and how, and integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Run automated tests regularly, analyze results, troubleshoot failures and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain and update test cases and CI/CD pipelines as applications evolve.
• Investigate test failures to determine root causes, whether a test issue, application defect or environment problem, and provide fixes or workarounds.
• Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, DevOps and product owners, and mentor junior team members on automation best practices and tool usage.
• Write clean, maintainable automation code, review code from junior engineers and ensure adherence to coding standards and version-control practices.
• Set up or manage basic test data for automated runs and report environment inconsistencies.
• Document automated tests and keep coverage and automation status updated in tools such as Jira, TestRail or similar.
• Proactively identify opportunities for automation improvement or technical-debt reduction.

What you'll need

• Hands-on experience in at least one of: React.js, Next.js, .NET, Java, JavaScript, Python or Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience testing or developing APIs.
• Proven experience building test frameworks and applications, working with Git, API automation testing and microservices solutions.
• Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or similar.
• Strong experience with Docker or similar.
• Experience working in an Agile environment and comfort with dynamic settings and requirements.
• Proficient in cross-functional communication, with a demonstrated ability to facilitate team communication and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Desired hands-on experience testing order fulfilment for e-commerce, with a main focus on SAP Commerce (CCv2) and SAP ECC SD/MM.
• Hands-on experience with modern development tools and processes, DevOps practices, cloud solutions such as Azure or AWS, Robot Framework, Selenium Grid, and reporting tools such as Grafana or ReportPortal.
