Senior Quality Engineer 1

Overview

Senior Quality Engineer 1 leads quality efforts for assigned projects by owning test strategy execution and ensuring end-to-end quality coverage, applying advanced technical expertise to validate complex systems and raising risks early to support timely, reliable software releases.

What you'll do

• Own and execute test plans to ensure appropriate functional and non-functional coverage.
• Design and execute end-to-end test cases for complex features or applications.
• Ensure all planned testing activities are completed prior to release.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to identify risks and ensure test readiness.
• Act as a point of contact for quality concerns on assigned projects.
• Track testing progress using metrics and provide regular status updates.
• Participate in or lead bug triage discussions to prioritize and resolve defects.
• Partner with product management to validate success criteria and acceptance standards.
• Mentor Quality Engineers by providing guidance on testing approaches and tools.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Significant experience in software quality engineering or testing.
• Experience executing and owning test plans for complex systems.
• Advanced knowledge of software testing and quality engineering practices.
• Strong technical ability to understand system architecture and data flows.
• Experience with cloud-based applications and test automation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms, APIs, and automated test infrastructure.
• Exposure to exploratory testing techniques and metrics-driven quality analysis.

• Only Bangalore-based candidates are being considered.
