Overview
Senior Research Engineer role focused on applying AI/ML and computer vision to visual inspection, anomaly detection, prognostics, diagnostics, and modelling solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead development of advanced AI, ML (AIML), and computer vision algorithms for process and product innovation.
- Oversee analysis of extensive datasets to find patterns and insights for computer vision-based diagnostics, visual inspection, and prognostics.
- Architect and optimize AIML and computer vision models, including convolutional neural networks and generative models.
- Design, conduct, and supervise experiments to evaluate efficacy and reliability of AIML-based solutions.
- Document and disseminate research findings, methodologies, and implementation strategies.
- Collaborate with and guide cross-functional teams to integrate AIML solutions into existing system platforms.
What you'll need
- PhD with 7-10 years relevant experience, or Masters with 10+ years relevant experience.
- Extensive understanding and experience in machine learning, AI, computer vision, image processing, object detection, segmentation, and deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, Vision Transformers).
- Proven track record applying AIML/computer vision concepts to practical applications such as industrial visual inspection, image classification, and real-time object detection.
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and related libraries/frameworks.
- Data analysis and manipulation experience with pandas and NumPy, plus software development best practices including Git and agile methodologies.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
