Senior Security Software Engineer, Vulnerability Management

Overview

Senior Security Software Engineer on Roblox's Vulnerability Management team, building tools that scale vulnerability management across the company to keep the platform secure.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain internal software products and capabilities to drive awareness and resolution of vulnerabilities at scale within Roblox.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and mitigate security vulnerabilities through tools and services.
• Design and build automated systems to highlight security issues to owners and make vulnerability remediation a first-class user experience.
• Develop tools and features that help make vulnerability remediation understandable and easy across Roblox's entire tech stack and organization.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in developing secure software and products, incorporating vulnerability management methodologies.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience working in security or related fields.
• Proven experience in software engineering, ideally with a focus on security.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C#.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• A track record of delivering features and learning new technologies.
• Experience solving operational problems with software-based solutions.
• Passionate about security and dedicated to crafting secure online experiences.

Details

• Location: San Mateo, CA headquarters.
• Roles based in the office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
• Annual base salary range: $216,680 to $269,170 USD. Full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and benefits.
• For US-based roles only: the Company may not be able to employ candidates who have United States work authorization related to certain U.S. visa categories, or support future H-1B sponsorship at this time.
