Overview
Senior Service Engineer responsible for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of Alarm & Monitoring Systems and Integrated Platform Management Systems (IPMS) at shipyards and customer sites.
What you'll do
- Commission and hand over IPMS projects within project timelines.
- Support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of IPMS hardware.
- Conduct Harbour Acceptance Tests and Sea Trials using documented procedures.
- Track site issues and provide management reports.
- Coordinate engineering changes and implement resolutions at site.
- Prepare customer documentation and record lessons learned.
- Provide basic customer training on IPMS operation and maintenance when required.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of relevant control and automation industry experience.
- Degree or diploma in Electronic Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Knowledge of PLC and SCADA software, monitoring and control systems, and I/O hardware.
- Experience with serial communication interfaces, sensors, structured programming, and P&ID drawings.
- Competence in computer technology and Ethernet networks.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, planning, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
Nice to have
- Ship and marine systems experience, including power, propulsion, navigation, or communications.
- Experience with Modbus, CANbus, or Profibus protocols.
- Experience with IEC 61131-3 PLC programming languages.
- Experience with Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Wago PLCs.
