Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Overview

Senior Site Reliability Engineer role supporting Sezzle’s infrastructure reliability and scalability, including SRE practices, capacity planning, observability, and AI enablement.

What you'll do

• Architect, upgrade, design, and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes and AWS.
• Drive the infrastructure team roadmap for reliability, recoverability, and scalability.
• Run capacity planning, benchmarking, and stress testing to identify bottlenecks and support growth.
• Define, maintain, and enforce SLAs and alerts across infrastructure.
• Improve signal anomaly detection and alerting flexibility.
• Lead AI enablement efforts for infrastructure reliability and developer productivity.
• Establish best practices for observability, security, and CI/CD, and mentor engineers.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of professional software engineering or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Significant SRE and backend experience.
• Deployed significant changes to production application or infrastructure configuration in the past 30 days.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
• Expertise with SQL-based RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and performance-focused optimization.
• Proficiency in observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, and New Relic.
• Demonstrated experience using Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
