Overview
The Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) drives engineering-led quality by ensuring product reliability, scalability, and performance. The role improves customer experience, release confidence, product stability, and engineering efficiency through automation and proactive quality ownership.
What you'll do
- Set automation direction, mentor SDETs, and drive technical execution.
- Build scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems, including integration testing.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, optimize pipelines, and strengthen release gating.
- Improve test environment reliability, manage test data, and reduce flaky tests.
- Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing and analyze performance bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with DevOps/SRE teams to improve system reliability, deployment stability, and observability.
- Use AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and LLM-based systems to improve test design, automate test creation, analyze failures, and accelerate debugging workflows.
- Apply AI-driven approaches for log analysis, failure clustering, test optimization, and defect pattern detection.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in software quality engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience building scalable test automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend systems, including integration testing.
- Deep experience working with CI/CD pipelines, including test integration, pipeline optimization, and release gating.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components impacting quality, including cloud environments, containers, microservices, service dependencies, and test environments.
- Proven experience ensuring environment stability, including test environment reliability, test data management, and flaky test reduction.
- Strong background in performance testing and engineering, including load, stress, scalability testing, and performance bottleneck analysis.
- Experience collaborating with DevOps/SRE teams to improve system reliability, deployment stability, and observability.
- Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools such as Claude, Cursor, Copilot, and LLM-based systems.
- Experience applying AI-driven approaches for log analysis, failure clustering, test optimization, and defect pattern detection.
