Senior Software Engineer

Overview

Senior/Staff Software Engineer role focused on SAP ABAP technical consulting within CommSec.

What you'll do

• Guide SAP domain designs to align with SAP application architecture.
• Identify build inventory items and design, configure, and test technical build items.
• Collaborate with business analysts and application architects to consume requirements.
• Prototype SAP solutions with architects/SMEs, seeking SAP standard options with low cost of ownership.
• Follow a “Design to Run” approach to deliver production-supportable solutions.
• Debug complex problems and deliver code quality aligned to technical specifications.
• Participate in Agile events, meetings, planning, design options, and estimates.

What you'll need

• 9–12 years of experience.
• Strong SAP ABAP production support experience including incident management, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and code optimization.
• Proficiency in OOABAP and ABAP on HANA (CDS, OData, RAP, ABAP 7.5+), SOA services, and parallel processing.
• Hands-on root cause analysis, defect resolution, ABAP Unit Testing, TDD, and production monitoring.
• Exposure to abapGit.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or information systems from an accredited university.
