Senior Staff Software Engineer

Overview

Develop and advance CisionOne’s media intelligence platform, including its desktop and mobile apps and supporting systems. Build and enhance software using Ruby on Rails, VueJS, and related backend and frontend technologies.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with product, business, account, and customer stakeholders to define requirements.
• Design data and software structures for new and enhanced features.
• Evaluate external libraries, services, and APIs to accelerate development.
• Write version-controlled Ruby on Rails and VueJS code.
• Create automated unit and end-to-end tests.
• Review, deploy, monitor, debug, and troubleshoot software across environments.
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and review generated code.

What you'll need

• 8–10 years of experience.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience with VueJS and relevant backend and frontend technologies.
• Ability to lead or deliver complex software systems.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of software best practices.

Nice to have

• DevOps experience with Kubernetes and Elasticsearch.
• Media, news, or content experience.
• Experience with Excel, project management tools, CRM tools, or Boolean search.
