SEO & GEO Content Specialist

Overview

Own SEO and GEO content for a collegiate custom apparel brand, covering blog/site content, on-page SEO, backlinks, and content built to be cited in AI-generated search answers.

What you'll do

• Plan, write, and publish blog posts targeting high-value Greek life, collegiate, and custom apparel keywords.
• Create content that matches real search intent (guides, listicles, comparisons, and how-to pieces).
• Maintain a content calendar aligned to seasonal moments like recruitment, rush, homecoming, formals, and graduation.
• Write and optimize on-page elements including meta titles, meta descriptions, headers, and body copy.
• Identify internal linking opportunities and coordinate with the tech team to launch content correctly for SEO.
• Develop and execute a backlink strategy and pitch guest posts/data-driven stories to earn placements.
• Build and monitor GEO efforts for platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Bing Copilot.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of experience in content marketing, SEO writing, or a closely related field.
• A portfolio of published work demonstrating strong writing quality and search performance.
• Hands-on experience with SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Search Console (or equivalent).
• Understanding of on-page SEO best practices including keyword research, search intent mapping, headers, internal linking, and meta optimization.
• Familiarity with GEO/AI search optimization is a strong plus.
• Ability to write in multiple formats including long-form guides, short blog posts, product descriptions, and landing page copy.

• Work mode: Work from Home/Remote.
• Working hours: available for meetings/emails/g-chats approximately 2 PM–10 PM, Monday–Friday.
