Job Description

Overview

Join Speechify’s Platform team as a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and services for text-to-speech and related platform capabilities.

What you’ll do

Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including a public TTS API.
Build internal APIs for payments, subscriptions, authentication, and consumption tracking.
Oversee and optimize the backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise customization and integrations.
Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.

What you’ll need

Proven backend development experience.
TypeScript/Node experience (required).
Direct experience with GCP.
Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
Efficiency in ideation and implementation.

Nice to have

Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
Proficiency deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
