Software Engineer/Python primary, Java basics and AI

Overview

Software Engineer role focused on leading front-end and back-end design and development for the Enablement Journey in C&SBBT, working with US partner teams.

What you'll do

• Participate in low to moderately complex technology initiatives involving installation, upgrades, and deployment.
• Identify opportunities to improve service quality and availability.
• Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs.
• Review and analyze assignments or challenges requiring research, evaluation, and alternative technology selection.
• Provide recommendations to resolve issues or escalate as needed to meet service level agreements.
• Apply independent judgment considering security and compliance requirements.
• Share information with technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of software engineering experience (or equivalent via experience, training, military experience, or education).
• 2+ years of hands-on development for complex, highly integrated, web-based applications.
• Experience with Java/J2EE and related technologies (Spring Framework, Microservices, Spring MVC, Spring Boot).
• Experience with Private Cloud (OCP) or Public Cloud.
• Experience in Agile teams.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline and JIRA tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like React JS.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience with unit, integration, and automation frameworks.
• Experience implementing/reviewing NFRs like performance optimization, scalability, and reusability.
• AI mindset and experience using AI-assisted tools for code development, optimization, testing, and operational efficiency.
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
