Overview
As an Assistant Manager/Manager in Sourcing & Procurement Tail Spend/Tactical Buyer, you will analyze procurement data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve sourcing strategies and supplier performance. You will also procure low- to moderate-value/risk goods and services in line with client requirements.
What you'll do
- Build and analyze category taxonomies.
- Clean spend data and make it meaningful for designing sourcing strategies.
- Identify catalogue opportunities.
- Identify supplier rationalization opportunities based on historical spend.
- Collect, clean, and analyze procurement data from various sources.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking procurement and sourcing KPIs.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to understand data needs and provide insights.
- Conduct spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier performance improvements.
- Perform CBA (Cost Benefit Analysis).
- Support the development and implementation of data-driven procurement strategies.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity in reports and analyses.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Track tail spend by market and spend managed by the Buying Desk.
- Track and report savings KPIs and other performance indicators.
- Procure goods and services, obtain quotations, develop proposals, and/or negotiate low- to moderate-value/risk contracts consistent with client requirements.
- Review Purchase Requisitions and liaise with business stakeholders to understand requirements and identify an appropriate supply base.
- Obtain the necessary number of supplier quotes according to Client Procurement Policy/Sourcing guidelines.
- Negotiate commercial and non-commercial clauses with suppliers according to guidance.
- Obtain Client Category Manager approval for the finalized supplier.
- Draft contracts according to Client and Senior Buyer instructions.
- Record savings in the Client Savings Database.
- Research and resolve supplier discrepancies and issues.
- Manage internal and external customers and stakeholders effectively.
- Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance, and support continuous improvement.
- Establish KPIs and SLAs, customizing them as appropriate for in-scope activities defined in the SOW.
- Partner with internal stakeholders, including Category Managers, Business Units, and Leadership, to refine and simplify processes with the end-user experience in mind.
- Adhere to operational controls, Approval Authority Matrix requirements, and quality audit requirements detailed in SOWs/SOPs.
- Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, conduct trainings, and enforce the Client Procurement Policy for Indirect Spend.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Bachelor's in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
- Master's in Operations Management.
- APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) certifications.
