Sr. Data Engineer

Overview

Sr. Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain highly available data and analytics platforms in a hybrid setup.

What you'll do

• Develop understanding of existing systems.
• Participate in and lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders.
• Develop robust, testable code aligned to design requirements.
• Review others’ code for style, correctness, testability, and efficiency.
• Triage system-wide issues and identify root cause of incidents.
• Improve critical technical debt and build monitored, observable systems.

What you'll need

• 8-10 years of professional experience designing/building/maintaining highly available data and analytics platforms.
• 5+ years in data engineering focused on large-scale data processing systems.
• Hands-on experience with OCI, AWS, or similar clouds for analytics and science data engineering.
• 3+ years building complex data pipelines for batch and/or real-time event-based processing.
• 3+ years designing, building, and maintaining data warehouses in ADW, Redshift, or similar solutions.
• 3+ years using Airflow or similar orchestration for data ingestion and curation flows.
• 3+ years strong hands-on SQL experience.
• 3+ years strong scripting experience using Python or similar.

Details

• Location: Bengaluru (Embbassy Tech Village, Kadubeesanahalli).
• Mode: Hybrid with 3 days in office mandatory.
• Working within an Agile framework.
