Sr. Staff Software Development Engineer (Backend Dev - C/C++)

Overview

Senior Staff Software Development Engineer responsible for system-level optimizations, automation frameworks, and multi-cloud infrastructure strategy. The role focuses on backend development using C/C++ across Linux/FreeBSD systems and public cloud platforms.

What you'll do

• Optimize software on Linux/FreeBSD systems through configuration and scripting.
• Create and export VM images across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Develop automation scripts with Python or Shell.
• Monitor infrastructure and cloud-based workloads.
• Profile performance and troubleshoot resource bottlenecks.
• Debug complex system and application-level issues with senior engineers.
• Design and maintain distributed systems deployed through Jenkins pipelines.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience in C programming.
• Strong understanding of C principles and performance optimization.
• Hands-on Python and/or Shell scripting experience.
• Knowledge of Linux/FreeBSD process, threading, memory, and networking concepts.
• Proficiency with AWS, Azure, and GCP infrastructure.
• Experience designing, testing, and deploying distributed systems.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools and new technologies to improve workflows.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with database internals, tuning, and optimization.
• Familiarity with Git.
