Staff Analytics Engineer

Overview

Own the data transformation layer for a remote analytics engineering team, building scalable models that support reporting and operational metrics across the business.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain scalable data models using dbt and SQL.
• Establish standards for data modelling, testing, monitoring, and discoverability.
• Collaborate with finance, operations, customer success, and marketing stakeholders.
• Integrate data models with BI tools and reverse ETL processes.
• Implement source control, code reviews, change management, and data monitoring.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Expert-level SQL and dbt skills.
• Proficiency in Python for transformations beyond SQL.
• Experience owning data products and building robust data models.
• Experience optimizing queries across OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Experience with semantic-layer modelling.
• Experience owning CI/CD workflows and version-control standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with data ingestion tools such as Airbyte.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow.
• Brokerage operations experience or interest in financial markets.
