Staff Software Engineer, Data (Employer of Record)

Overview

Staff Software Engineer, Data to design, build, and scale cloud-based data platforms supporting business insights and operations.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and scale cloud data pipelines across internal and third-party source systems.
• Extract, load, and transform data with cloud-native data engineering principles.
• Author and advocate coding, documentation, and testing standards for the team.
• Conduct impact analysis to identify effects of changes across multiple applications.
• Lead code reviews and communicate application changes.
• Debug production issues and propose solutions across applications.
• Participate in Agile practices and contribute to sprint commitments.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8 years of software engineering experience with recent cloud data platform experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience overseeing technical direction of a team of data engineering talent.
• Strong understanding of programming languages used in data engineering (Python, Java, Scala).
• Experience with SDLC including Agile/SCRUM and Waterfall.
• Experience designing scalable batch and streaming pipelines.
• Practical experience with data modeling, schema design, and lakehouse principles.
