Staff Software Engineer, Governance

Overview

Staff Software Engineer on Domino’s Governance team, building and improving the software that helps enterprises govern AI projects responsibly.

What you'll do

• Design and develop software solutions to improve the Governance feature user experience.
• Extend and contribute enhancements to the open-source software powering Domino.
• Create technical designs and communicate them to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Improve engineering quality through design and code reviews.
• Work with product managers to ensure solutions are planned and delivered on time.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of backend development experience in distributed computing (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience designing and developing APIs (RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or similar) for backend and front-end integration.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, Go, or Python for high-performance backend development.
• Experience improving backend performance in cloud environments using Docker and Kubernetes and CI/CD practices.
• Comfort building production-grade software, preferably in Scala or Go.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture and designing modular, maintainable services.

Details

• Location: Remote US.
• Salary: USD 245,000 to 275,000 annual base salary range.
