Staff Software Engineer (R13719)

Overview

Staff Software Engineer who leads end-to-end delivery of complex software and serves as the team’s SME and architect-level decision partner, mentoring senior engineers and helping evolve the technology stack.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software applications with high quality standards.
• Create frameworks and abstractions to reduce workload for other engineers.
• Improve test coverage for end-to-end business flows across multiple systems.
• Drive technical decision-making and contribute to or lead architectural discussions.
• Own critical projects and initiatives, ensuring delivery via project management and communication.
• Conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide guidance when required.

What you'll need

• Minimum 8 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree with an equivalent education/experience combination.
• Bachelor’s degree required unless substituting with the stated Master’s equivalence.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• Mastery of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
• Experience with web application development, RESTful APIs, and frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is advantageous.
• Solid grasp of version control systems such as Git.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a record of effective collaboration.
• Proven ability to mentor and lead engineers.

Nice to have

• Proficiency working with relational databases and SQL is a plus.
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS or Azure, is highly desirable.
