Technical Marketing Engineer

Overview

Technical Marketing Engineer supporting Cisco’s enterprise wireless networking business as a subject matter expert across cloud and on-premises wireless technologies. The role combines lab and test environment operations, technical enablement, collateral development, and sales collaboration.

What you'll do

• Set up lab systems for enablement, training, and educational activities.
• Support large test environments and product development operations.
• Develop architectural solutions and enablement strategies with product, engineering, and marketing teams.
• Create technical stories explaining product value and functionality.
• Guide technical collateral including white papers, architectural guides, and deployment guides.
• Train and collaborate with sales teams on technical products.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in Wi-Fi testing or enterprise wireless and networking operations.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including VLANs, DHCP, TCP, UDP, and VoIP.
• Strong knowledge of 802.11 standards, channels, and 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz specifications.
• Understanding of customer deployments and in-house testing and validation.
• Practical communication skills and stakeholder collaboration experience.

Nice to have

• BS/MS in Computer Networking, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Product performance testing or QA experience.
• Experience configuring enterprise wireless access points.
• Experience with AI-based workflow optimization tools.
• Experience with Jenkins and Jira.
• Programming or scripting experience with Ruby, Python, or similar.
