About this course
AWS has more services than anyone needs and more ways to do each thing than anyone wants. What interviews and real work actually test is narrower: can you scope an IAM policy without granting everything, choose between EC2 and Lambda for a given load, pick an S3 storage class from an access pattern, and tell a security group from a network ACL. This course covers that working core as practice questions rather than a service catalogue.
What it covers
Eleven topics: cloud and AWS foundations including the shared responsibility model, identity and access, compute across EC2, auto scaling and serverless, storage, networking, databases, monitoring and operations, security and encryption, cost management, architecture and reliability, and a closing practice topic on choosing between services.
Who this is for
Developers, DevOps engineers and students preparing for cloud interviews or a first AWS role, and anyone who has clicked through the console but could not explain why their instance cannot reach the internet. It assumes you understand what a server, an IP address and a database are. It does not assume any prior cloud experience.
How MCQ practice works on Abekus
The course is organised as topics, subtopics, and individual lessons. Each lesson pairs a short set of explanation cards with practice questions written for that lesson, so the questions test the idea you just read rather than a general survey. Wrong answers come with a worked explanation, and the AI guide surfaces the mistakes you keep repeating.
