About this course
Most people who speak English fluently still lose marks on grammar papers, because exams do not test whether you can be understood — they test whether you can spot the one option that is correct when three others sound fine. That is a different skill from speaking, and it is learned by meeting the tricky cases repeatedly rather than by rereading rules. This course is built as practice questions with immediate explanations, aimed at the constructions that actually get tested.
What it covers
Eleven topics: common misconceptions and grammar foundations, parts of speech, tenses including conditionals, subject-verb agreement with its tricky and special constructions, articles, prepositions, conjunctions and sentence structure, active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech, and error detection and sentence correction. A closing topic covers concept comparisons and applied scenarios.
Who this is for
Students preparing for campus placement tests, banking and SSC exams, MBA entrances, and school or university English papers, plus professionals who want their written English to stop drawing corrections. It starts from parts of speech, so no prior grammar study is assumed — only that you can read and write English sentences comfortably.
How MCQ practice works on Abekus
The course is organised as topics, subtopics, and individual lessons. Each lesson pairs a short set of explanation cards with practice questions written for that lesson, so the questions test the idea you just read rather than a general survey. Wrong answers come with a worked explanation, and the AI guide surfaces the mistakes you keep repeating.
