Accountant

Overview

Manage monthly, quarterly and annual GL close activities for UKG International entities, covering accounting and financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of financial information. Based at the UKG Noida office in India.

What you'll do

• Perform bank reconciliations and prepare prepaid expense and accrual journals.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline.
• Handle facility, fringe and intercompany (ICO) cross-charge allocations.
• Conduct trial balance analysis to identify variances and ensure data integrity.
• Execute ICO reconciliations and settlements.
• Prepare government surveys and perform GAAP vs. STAT reconciliations.
• Record transfer pricing and interest on loan journals.
• Analyze and prepare journal entries and reconciliations for accruals, prepaids, interest on loans and transfer pricing.
• Timely close the books monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Assist with external US GAAP audits and coordinate with stakeholders involved in the audit process.
• Assist with statutory accounting processes and support audits and tax/VAT audits, including coordination and follow-up with stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit monthly reconciliations in the Blackline tool and provide quarterly balance sheet flux commentary.
• Partner cross-functionally to ensure accurate execution of intercompany accounting and reconciliation and bank reconciliation.
• Assist with implementing best-in-class accounting processes.
• Help drive process improvement initiatives using effective communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.

What you'll need

• 3-4 years of accounting work experience, including statutory accounting preparation knowledge.
• Bachelor of Commerce or Semi Qualified Chartered Accountant (required).
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to embrace technology and change.
• Good people and customer service skills, advocating positive working relationships with internal and external customers.
• Well-organized, extreme attention to detail and self-directed.

Nice to have

• Oracle or D365 experience.
• Prior experience working remotely with a US multinational company.
