Overview

Advanced Services Consulting Engineer delivering forward-looking technical network services to optimize reliability and performance for designated customers.

What you'll do

• Evaluate network performance, scalability, and security and recommend network configurations and topologies.
• Review and assess open software defects and recommend mitigations with relevant teams.
• Deliver proactive consulting via technical analysis such as impact assessment, health checks, software upgrade analysis, and config review.
• Conduct Juniper product health checks to identify potential network performance problem areas.
• Review and evaluate network plans and support planning for feature implementation and product deployment.
• Identify opportunities for product improvements, documentation quality, and automation needs, and present findings in forums.

What you'll need

• Deep understanding of core IP networking concepts (TCP/IP, QoS, VLAN, STP, IPSEC, NAT, IPv6).
• Expertise in Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols including VRRP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast, and MPLS VPN.
• Experience with newest technologies such as Segment Routing, Traffic engineering, DC switching, VxLAN, EVPN, and SD-WAN (a plus).
• 2+ years experience designing and implementing solving technical problems of state-of-the-art Datacenter and IP/MPLS networks (desirable).
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent (preferred).
• Juniper product certifications (JNCIS/JNCIP/JNCIE) or industry equivalent are helpful.
