AI Engineer

Overview

As an AI Engineer on Mastercard’s Global Pricing & Interchange (P&IC) team, you will design, build, and deploy enterprise AI solutions to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML, Generative AI, and Agentic AI solutions for business problems.
• Build and maintain LLM applications and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines from prototype to production.
• Develop scalable backend services, API layers, and components to operationalize AI solutions.
• Implement MLOps and LLMOps practices for deployment, monitoring, quality, and lifecycle management.
• Ensure AI solutions meet security, privacy, responsible AI, governance, and regulatory compliance standards.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to identify AI opportunities and translate requirements.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, Data Science, or related.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI/Generative AI/machine learning solutions in production.
• Hands-on experience building LLM applications, Agentic AI systems, and RAG architectures through deployment.
• Strong Python skills including experience developing APIs and microservices.
• Experience with SQL and large-scale data processing technologies including Spark and cloud data platforms.
• Knowledge of MLOps/LLMOps, CI/CD pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and version control.
