Analyst - Accounts Receivable

Overview

Analyst role in the Finance team supporting accounts receivable, collections and month-end accounting for Flex in Chennai.

What you'll do

• Hold up the Collections team and the business in addressing collections and overdue bills.
• Engage with management and the business to address payment delays and actions.
• Participate in process improvements, projects and other management directives as prescribed.
• Provide timely reports and information to internal customers, team guides and managers on customer exposure.
• Apply technical knowledge to reduce manual intervention and automate routine jobs.
• Ensure timely generation and submission of invoices for shipments and services.
• Initiate actions for early identification and resolution of disputes with the customer.
• Contact customers by email and calls to confirm receipt of shipments and invoices, upcoming payment dates and invoices to be paid.
• Facilitate timely accounting of funds credited to the Flex bank account.
• Generate and update weekly AR reports and prepare AR/GL reconciliations.
• Ensure completion of month-end accounting activities as per the corporate calendar.
• Hold up audit requirements for the assigned function.

What you'll need

• B.Com, B.CS, M.Com, MBA, BBA or BBM, or any commerce and accounts stream degree.
• 1-2 years of related experience.
• Collections and payment follow-ups.
• Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Customer account reconciliation.
• Dispute management.
