Analyst- Middle Office

Overview

Trade processing role within the Middle Office trade processing team, covering trade capture, matching and settlement of Securities, FX and Money market instruments.

What you'll do

• Process global security transactions on the Calypso platform within given deadlines.
• Interact with internal and external stakeholders to resolve trade confirmation and settlement queries.
• Monitor transactions to confirm client instructions are processed in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring timely settlement and accounting.
• Ensure all trades are matched within market and client deadlines.
• Ensure client positions are correct and all transactions are processed.
• Resolve queries within the timeframes set out in Client SLAs.
• Work with custodians and brokers for timely matching and settlement.
• Report exceptions in line with internal control and external client requirements.
• Resolve failed trade queries proactively.
• Escalate exceptions and failed transactions to appropriate stakeholders for early resolution.
• Document all errors and breakdowns of procedure as per company policy.
• Communicate extensively with internal and external parties.

What you'll need

• Thorough understanding of capital markets, financial instruments and investment banking processes, with above-average accounting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and strong MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to deal with high volumes of activity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedication to working as a team and delivering timely results.
• Willingness and flexibility to work in any shift.
• Post graduate in Commerce, MBA Finance, or CA/CMA/CFA.
• 1-5 years of hedge fund or mutual fund middle office trade support experience.
