Assistant Engineer

Overview

The Assistant Engineer – Production performs precise, hands-on assembly of wind turbine or heavy components, ensuring safe, high-quality execution based on technical documentation.

What you'll do

• Assemble wind turbine or heavy-weight components using heavy-component industrial bolting.
• Follow technical documentation and standardized work processes for production execution.
• Maintain SOPs and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for safety and quality compliance.
• Track assembly production logs and document deviations in non-conformance reports (NCR).
• Create standardized work documents and use Yamazumi charts to balance line workloads.
• Apply Lean tools (e.g., VSM and Kaizen) to improve daily assembly efficiency.
• Use quality control and root cause analysis to ensure parts meet design specifications.

What you'll need

• 4.5 to 7 years of hands-on mechanical assembly experience in wind turbine or heavy equipment manufacturing.
• Direct experience in crane lifting and safe handling of heavy-weight components on the shop floor.
• Experience with electronic torque-angle tools, calibrated torque wrenches, and pneumatic/electric nut runners.
• Knowledge of production documents including PFD, PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions (WI), and EHSRA.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and assembly diagrams.
• Experience maintaining assembly records including production logs and NCR.
