Assistant Researcher

Overview

Support researchers and senior researchers with experiments, trials, disease testing, diagnostics, data collection, evaluation, and documentation.

What you'll do

• Prepare and execute experiments and trials.
• Implement research protocols, methods, and techniques.
• Collect data, conduct phenotyping, record observations, and maintain research records.
• Report and discuss test results with researchers.
• Support pathogen and insect diagnostics using relevant methods.
• Coordinate research activities with Biotechnology and Breeding colleagues.
• Maintain research data using digital systems and Microsoft Office tools.

What you'll need

• Master’s degree in Plant Pathology, Entomology, or Biotechnology.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant disease or insect phenotyping research experience.
• Experience with trials, laboratory activities, or disease diagnosis.
• Understanding of experimental methods, research protocols, data analysis, and documentation.
• Analytical and observation skills.
• Collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
• English and Hindi or Kannada proficiency.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of research data-management systems.

• Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
• 45 to 48 hours per week.
• Interim arrangements are not available.
