Associate, Compliance (Mumbai)

Overview

As an Associate, Compliance (Mumbai), you maintain compliance policies and procedures for the firm’s BSA/AML program, with a focus on KYC and AML activities. You perform sanctions screening, customer due diligence, and AML alert investigation and escalation.

What you'll do

• Conduct and review OFAC screens, researching false positives and escalating potential OFAC issues for review.
• File OFAC reports if required and test/validate the sanction screening tool.
• Perform customer due diligence, including customer risk ranking and enhanced due diligence, and escalate AML risks with mitigation recommendations.
• Investigate and analyze AML alerts that may lead to filing suspicious activity reports as required.
• Assist with on-chain transaction monitoring, including validation and clearing AML transaction monitoring alerts.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to CDD, EDD, and transaction monitoring processes.
• Manage onboarding-related compliance queries for institutional clients and investors.

What you'll need

• 3 to 5 years of experience conducting end-to-end KYC onboarding reviews.
• Experience in blockchain investigations and AML alert clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Intellectually curious self-starter comfortable in ambiguity.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
