Automation Test Engineer

Overview

Automation Tester role at Capco working on web-based applications for banking and financial services clients, with testing across Manual, API, Database and automation.

What you'll do

• Design, create and execute test cases and test scenarios for web-based applications.
• Perform Functional, SIT, Regression and UAT testing to ensure product quality.
• Validate APIs using testing tools and perform backend validation through SQL queries.
• Identify, log, track and verify defects through resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium with Java, TestNG, Cucumber and Playwright.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers and Product Owners in an Agile environment.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, test planning and release activities.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence for defect tracking, documentation and test management.

What you'll need

• 2-5 years of experience in software testing.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing, API Testing and SQL.
• Hands-on experience in Functional, SIT, Regression and UAT Testing.
• Good knowledge of Selenium Java, TestNG, Cucumber and Playwright.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Exposure to automation framework development.
• Experience working in Banking, Capital Markets or Financial Services domains.
• Understanding of CI/CD and modern QA practices.
