Software Development Engineer in Test

Overview

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role focused on end-to-end quality and automation for functional/system testing, including HPC storage.

What you'll do

• Perform hands-on end-to-end testing, preferably across storage systems.
• Develop automation using Python/Perl or other scripting languages.
• Identify automation use cases and drive test suite development.
• Design, develop, review, and maintain test plans and test cases.
• Own QA documentation for defects, procedures, and process.
• Collaborate with developers on black-box test strategy and functional specifications.
• Implement automated test frameworks and ensure product quality via continuous testing.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• 4-6 years experience in software quality engineering.
• Min. 4 years in software engineering with proven QA track record in storage systems.
• Good knowledge of filesystem; parallel filesystems like Lustre/GPFS is a plus.
• Hands-on testing/qualification experience in HPC storage systems is preferable.
• Hands-on experience with Linux operating system.
• Expertise on at least one automation framework such as pytest.

• Hybrid work mode with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office.
• Location: Bengaluru, Karnātaka, India.
